Moira Prager is an educational therapist and learning consultant who specializes in providing intensive individualized educational therapy and comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, which lead to diagnosis, recommendation and remediation of learning difficulties and disabilities.
Learning Styles & Solutions was founded by Moira Prager in 1995 and was located in Ridgewood, NJ until its relocation to Chadds Ford, PA in 2006. Since its inception, Learning Styles & Solutions has concentrated on providing individualized services to children and adults experiencing academic
difficulties.

Moira holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Learning Disabilities. Moira specializes in multisensory language education, which has its roots in the early works of Dr. Samuel Orton, a neuro-psychiatrist and pathologist who, along with Anna Gillingham, a noted educator and psychologist, developed the Orton-Gillingham Approach.This approach is based on building a network of sound-symbol associations using visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile modalities simultaneously.
As an Educational Therapist and Learning Consultant in private practice, Moira’s philosophy and pedagogy focuses on facilitating positive self esteem and develop a lifelong enthusiasm for the learning process…the two most critical building blocks in fulfilling one’s dreams. |
What is Educational Therapy?
Educational Therapy offers children and adults with learning disabilities and other learning challenges a wide range of intensive, individualized interventions designed to remediate learning problems. It demystifies learning problems and stimulates the individuals’ awareness of their strengths so they can use them to their best advantage in order to overcome or compensate for areas of weakness. Children often experience difficulties, which may prevent them from accessing the curriculum and managing in class.

. As special education legislation and services change and the demands of society grow, the role of the educational therapist is becoming increasingly valuable. Educational therapists utilize information from a variety of sources including the child’s social, emotional, psychoeducational and neuropsychological context. Educational therapists can also provide case management including communicating with teacher, the school counselor and/or learning specialist, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, psychologist, social worker or psychiatrist who may work with the child in order to coordinate services and facilitate better understanding of the child’s learning needs and development.
